Dianna Atkins
I am a Sign Language Interpreter interested in procuring freelance interpreting opportunities.
I have over 25 years of experience working with the Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Oral persons. My most current experience is working in post-secondary settings in a variety of courses such as the Police Foundations, Graphic Design and GIS Programs among many others. I keep my signing skills current by taking on freelance work, attending workshops and periodically attending socials with various Deaf Associations.
Professional Info
I have gained experience in small business scheduling, invoicing, and quoting for jobs I hope to obtain while building my freelance business and clientele. Advocating for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Oral Deaf is also something I strive to do in my daily work. Increasing awareness and providing accesses and or accommodations to Deaf and Hearing consumers while working with the mainstream of our community is something, I have been doing for over 25 years.
